We are a charitable agency dedicated to providing sporting programs and services to New Brunswickers with an intellectual disability. We are the provincial chapter of Special Olympics Canada and have been providing services to New Brunswick's Special Olympians since 1979! During this time we have enabled thousands of New Brunswickers and their families to "Win at Life" through sport. With your help we can continue to deliver. Corporations sponsor Special Olympics because we share your brand values, we are all about quality of life, winning at life, bringing our best to the game. We believe in fair play and sportsmanship. We have the reach to give you provincial visibility and the depth to offer you a variety of opportunities and price points to get involved at the community level or at the provincial level. You can even use your membership with us as a springboard for team building activities for your employees e.g. host your own office Olympics with putting contests, elastic band firing contests etc.

You support finances:

  •     low registration fees for our athletes, usually set as low as $10.00 a sport. 

  •     equipment to play the game 

  •     team travel to regionals, provincials, nationals, and even sometimes worlds 

  •     team uniforms 

  •     coach training 

  •     volunteer training 

  •     facilities and liability insurance – so our athletes can access the facilities and play the games!

Corporate membership

Become a member and support Special Olympics New Brunswick. You'll get a tax receipt, a certificate of membership, listing on our corporate membership page, 10% off all SONB events and regular updates on what Special Olympics in New Brunswick is doing.

 

Draft an athlete

Special Olympics NB now has in place a year round Draft An Athlete Program available to sponsors for $2500.00 for an
annual sponsorship.

These are athletes local to your corporation. They are people and families who live in your neighbourhood. By Drafting An Athlete you bring your support to the Special Olympic Movement right into your community. They may be athletes you see working at local industries – maybe even yours, attending local schools.

This program sees the revenues split 50/50 with the sponsored athlete’s region thereby providing funding for not only the Provincial office - to finance things like insurance for the athletes, web page support, travel assistance for athletes for national games, support for provincial games etc.; but financing to the region for equipment, facilities rental, and support to meets
and competitions.

For the sponsor the package includes:

  •     Tax receipt for full amount

  •     Photo and bio of the drafted athlete 

  •     Letter from drafted athlete to the sponsor 

  •     Regular updates from the athlete, competition results etc. 

  •     Corporate logo with athlete picture and bio on SONB website Draft An Athlete page 

  •     10% off SONB events

 

Medal level sponsorships

We offer Platinum,Gold, Silver and Bronze level sponsorships as well. In addition to the tax receipt we'll post your logo on our website on our sponsorship page or on our home page depending on your level of sponsorship, provide you with a certificate of sponsorship for your business. You may also get a link to your web site from ours, a named award at our annual Sports Awards Dinner. The possibilites are endless. Talk to us about these custom made opportunities.

 

Program sponsorships

We are entering an exciting new phase of development here in Special Olympics New Brunswick. We have a new Youth Development Project aimed at bringing even more athletes into our programs underway that will touch schools, community groups, and link with a variety of service groups and professions in N.B. We will be everywhere! You can be part of this.

Every year we have a major games initiative. If it isn't fielding a team to head to Nationals, it's a provincial winter or summer championship. These games reach into every corner of the province pulling out athletes and their families, the press and local supporters. There are named rights opportunities available for all these programs with a wide array of benefits back to you. Join our teams! 
Other ongoing program lines include our Special Olympics Festival, a major celebration of our athletes and their supporters; and our Annual Awards Dinner where we celebrate all our athletes and recognize our male and female athletes, coaches and teams of the year and our committed volunteers who make things happen for us across this province.

 

Special events

We will be organizing a variety of special events across the province. We can tailor an event for you and your employees based on your employees' interests be it golf tournaments, car rallies, dinner and music, dinner and theatre evenings, live and silent auctions, or a combination of events!
